For this past winter break I drove from Huntington Beach CA to Las Vegas NV. The ride was about 4 hours long and was very stressful. I drove my mom’s E-150 van with most of our family belongings in it. The road conditions couldn’t have been worse. It was very windy and rained for about two hours into the ride for the rest of the trip. I learned about a thing called “black ice” on the road while driving. Its a thin layer of ice the gets camouflaged by the black pavement on the road and usually is found in shady or wet areas of the road, such as underpasses. When driving over it you must maintain the vehicles current position and not worry. This drive was my first experience with semi bad weather.
